I’ve written and rewritten this review too many times to count. There are so many things I want to say about how much I loved this story and yet no words to describe those feelings or do them justice, so I will simply say this…
Bring Me Back is a story of hope and second chances. It’s a heartbreakingly beautiful journey through the lives of its characters, who experience pain, forgiveness, love, and more. You get to witness their growth and realize their worth in a world where it is so easy to get lost and feel less than.
One of the most special things and my favorite aspect of author Kristen Granata’s writing is that she writes REAL people. Real stories with Real people who go through the same things we go through every day, and she does it with respect and integrity. As she mentions in this story, “life isn’t always sunshine and rainbows and cuddly puppies,” and she isn’t afraid to write about all those difficult and scary things that we don’t like to think or talk about, especially when it comes to mental health. You also see the importance of a support team and what it means to be the person on the outside and how the things we do and say affect each other.
So many of us have felt like a Phoenix or a James – or any of the other amazingly written supporting cast of characters. It’s a story everyone should read because you can find yourself in the pages and take comfort in knowing that you’re not alone. Thank you for that!
To Phoenix and James… You’re so brave; so fierce and strong. I love you!!
And don’t even get me started on the romance and steaminess of this story… OMG ❤️🔥
