Poetry hasn’t in the past been a usual read for me. However, having said that I’ve learned, especially in this Indie world not to say no. Give it try what’s the worse that can happen? Now I already know this author to be a good writer and I’ve seen bits and pieces of things he has shared to see a whole collection in one spot definitely intrigued me. so I decided to take a peak inside The Door and I’m so glad that I did. It didn’t take me long to realize that opening this particular Door a peek wasn’t going to be enough. I found myself immersed in his words didn’t matter which one. Each one touched me in different ways. I recommend this book to anyone who is a lover of poetry and if you think you won’t love it why not just open The Door and see what you may find.
T.s. Woolard’s poetry book Sugar & Cyanide
Will take you on a rollercoaster ride of
Depth and emotions. His poetry is from deep within
His soul where he bares raw emotions
And pain. There are Extreme love and loyalty,
Alongside desperation, grief and loss, that we have all
Felt in our lifetimes but we prevail. His words will bring you
From the highest heights to the lowest of lows and every
Other emotion there is in-between.

Sugar & Cyanide is a beautiful compilation of poetry that ranges from the depths of despair to the highs of romance. With each poem you find the feeling of the writer laid bare on the pages. I found each poem evoked different emotions from love to desperation to hope to depression. I loved each poem in the collection, however, I’d have to say that the final poem in the book touched me in a way that I wasn’t expecting. A phenomenal collection of poems that is a definite must-read.
The author takes you along for the ride through his journey of poems. While I will say the final poem in the book is why I actually read it once I heard a friend of mine read it I knew I had to. As you read through the pages you find that each poem takes you to a different place. You feel with each stroke of the page the passion that the author uses within to leave you feeling everything he felt in that moment. This definitely is a must read if you love poetry.
